The journal publishes articles on a range of sociolo gical science: theory, methodology and h istory of sociology, methods and results of sociological research in the field o f economic, social, political and spirit ual life of society in Russia and abroad . Target audience consists of research s cholars, teachers of the theoretical and empirical sociological problems, includ ing those related to contemporary societ y. It is addressed to specialists and pe rsonnel of sociological and information- analytical services of the government an d public organizations, commercial struc tures. It is aimed at undergraduate, gra duate, doctoral and postdoctoral student s of social and humanitarian profiles, a s well as at all interested in social pr oblems of society's development and func tioning. The editorial board of the jour nal "Sociological Studies" accepts for r eviewing papers, including translations and original sources from the sociologic al heritage, reviews of scholarly confer ences, book reviews and others.
